Midas Is King

And he holds me so tight

As it's my birthday today ()and DA's birthday() and I've had this lying around for ages, and I can't seem to stop listening to Florence + the Machine, I submit to you this picture. I like the mythological reference, since I'm a geek like that. For those of you who don't know the myth, basically this guy King Midas gets granted a wish by the gods, and he wishes that whatever he touches will turn to gold. So he starts turning stuff to gold, very happy, but then he realises that he can't eat anything as it turns straight to gold (hence the golden apple in the grass). Then his daughter comes home and he doesn't think before he goes to hug her...

Anyway, this was inspired by that myth and the song Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) by Florence + the Machine.
